SHALOM! We made it!

After checking in, receiving our token fanny packs, and bonding over overweight luggage, we hopped on board El Al for a LONG flight of superb airplane food and meeting new friends. As of several hours ago, we can officially announce that NCSY GIVE 2016 has arrived in the Holy land! We were greeted by our Israeli madrichot who had a delicious lunch of bagels and muffins waiting for us, and of course giant water bottles to rehydrate after the flight.

We headed over to load our bags and board the busses, and it was time to begin our journey up North to Tzfat. The ride was filled with music, singing, sleeping and getting to know one another and even included a visit to an actual Israeli rest stop! Upon arrival at our hotel, we headed in for dinner, ice breakers and orientation and then settled into our rooms for the weekend. What a tremendous opportunity to spend our first Shabbos in Israel in the holy city of Tzfat!

Though we've only just met the girls, it's clear that we have a very special group of GIVErs this summer and cannot wait to get to know them better and watch them reach their greatest potential. Thank you for sharing one of your most prized possessions with us this summer. We are so invested in truly giving each girl the summer of a lifetime!
