Day 16: (Bus 1) Emunah,Yad Vashem, & Har Hertzel

give July 23, 2015

We started off the day going to Emunah. Emunah is an organization that helps underprivileged children. We did art projects with them and played with them. The kids were 2-6 years old — they were adorable! Afterwards we went to Yad Vashem. It is a tough place to go and visit but it was important and the girls realized that. We all had a really meaningful experience. Then, Har Hertzel was our next stop. Another difficult site but one of importance! Being in Har Hertzel is one like no other. When you walk through Har Hertzel you feel the bravery and passion these soldiers had for our homeland. You feel united with the Jewish nation and what it stands for. There is really no way to describe it. Today was a really powerful day on GIVE.
Both buses then had dinner together and had an interesting question and answer from Rabbi Katz (Director of seminary MMY)!
We cannot wait for a GIVEaldik Shabbos!!!
